Direction per block
Every paragraph, heading and list item takes its direction from its own first strong character. A Hebrew sentence with English terms, code and links inside it reads correctly, and nothing is added to the file to make it work.
Open it from the file, not from the app
Right-click a Markdown file in Finder — or long-press it in Files on iPhone — and quickMD sits at the top of Open With. One click and it is open in a tab in the window you already have: no launching the app first, no file picker, no importing.
Browser-style tabs
Each file opens in a tab. ⌘1–⌘9 jump by position, Ctrl+Tab cycles, middle-click closes, and ⌘W closes the tab rather than the window. The tabs you had open come back next launch.
Autosave
Writes 600ms after you stop typing, and again on tab switch, tab close and window blur. A grey dot marks a tab with unsaved content — there is no save step to forget.
Keeps the file intact
An edit that did not change the content does not trigger a write, so opening a file never reformats it. If it changes on disk, it reloads and keeps your scroll position; if it is deleted, editing locks.
Offline, free, no account
No network calls, no sign-in and no telemetry — the app ships without a networking layer at all. Your files are read and written where they live.
