Storeframe

Last updated: June 18, 2026

The short version: Storeframe does all of its work — framing your screenshots, translating headlines, and suggesting text — entirely on your Mac. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to any of it. The one time the app reaches the network is when you choose to upload finished screenshots to App Store Connect: that goes directly to Apple, over Apple's official API, using credentials you enter and that stay in your Mac's Keychain. Your screenshots, headlines, and credentials never pass through us.

1. Who we are

Storeframe is developed and published by Y. Ben David (BD TECH). It is a macOS app that turns a single screenshot into localized, App Store–ready marketing images. This policy explains how the app handles information. Questions? support@bdtech.app.

2. Information we do not collect

We do not collect, store, sell, or transmit any personal data. The app contains:

  • No analytics or usage tracking
  • No advertising and no advertising identifiers
  • No third-party tracking, marketing, or cloud SDKs
  • No account, sign-in, or registration
  • No telemetry sent to the developer

Storeframe is built entirely on Apple's own frameworks — it bundles no third-party software. We never see your screenshots, your headlines, your App Store Connect credentials, or how you use the app.

3. Information the app stores on your device

To do its job, Storeframe saves the following locally on your Mac, inside its sandboxed container. This information never leaves your device except as described in section 4:

  • Your project — the design you build: selected template, colors and layout, the languages you chose, the headline you wrote for each language, per-device zoom and pan, the target platforms, and your Pro status.
  • The target app ID — if you set one for uploading, the App Store Connect app identifier you selected.
  • App Store Connect API credentials — your Issuer ID, Key ID, and the private key (.p8) you provide for uploading. These are stored in the macOS data-protection Keychain, never written to a regular file or to app preferences.

The screenshot you drop into the app is held only while you work and is not saved between launches. You can clear your saved API credentials at any time from within the app, and removing the app deletes everything it stored on your Mac.

4. Uploading to App Store Connect

Storeframe makes exactly one kind of network connection, and only when you start it: uploading your finished screenshots to App Store Connect. When you do:

  • The app connects directly to Apple at api.appstoreconnect.apple.com — Apple's official App Store Connect API. It connects to no other server.
  • Requests are signed locally on your Mac (a JSON Web Token created with your .p8 key using Apple's CryptoKit). Your private key is used to sign on-device and is not sent anywhere.
  • Your screenshots are sent to Apple to populate the listing you chose. They are not sent to us or to any third party.

Apple's handling of this data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy and your App Store Connect agreement. The app contacts no server operated by the developer.

5. On-device translation and AI

Headline translation and AI headline suggestions run entirely on your Mac using Apple's built-in Translation framework and Foundation Models. There is no API key, no per-use cost, and nothing about your headlines is sent off your device for these features. They are available depending on your macOS version and Mac hardware.

6. Purchases

The optional Pro unlock is a one-time in-app purchase handled securely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, process, or have access to your payment information, card details, or billing address.

7. Third-party services

The app uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or cloud services and bundles no third-party SDKs. The only external service it ever contacts is Apple's App Store Connect API, and only for the uploads you initiate (section 4).

8. Children's privacy

Storeframe is a developer tool, is not directed to children, and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

9. Data retention and deletion

Because everything is stored locally, you are in full control. You can clear your App Store Connect credentials from within the app at any time, and uninstalling Storeframe removes the app and all of its locally stored data from your Mac.

10. Security

Storeframe runs inside the macOS App Sandbox with the hardened runtime, which limits its access to your system. Your App Store Connect API credentials are kept in the macOS data-protection Keychain and read only when an upload requires them.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
