ZmanimBar

Location

If you enable automatic location, ZmanimBar uses your device's location solely on your device to compute accurate zmanim for where you are. Your coordinates are never sent to us and never leave your device — except that, to display your city name, the coordinates may be passed to Apple's geocoding service, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can instead set a city manually and not use location at all.

Calendar

If you choose to add a zman to your calendar, ZmanimBar requests permission to add events to Apple Calendar. It only writes the events you explicitly ask it to add. It does not read, upload, or share your calendar data.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device through Apple's notification system. No reminder content is sent to any server.

Purchases

The optional one-time "Pro" upgrade is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information.

Data storage

Your settings are stored only on the device you set them on (and shared on-device with the ZmanimBar widget). They are never transmitted anywhere.

iCloud

The personal times you create — your own minyanim and shiurim, meaning their name, time and repeat days — are saved to your private iCloud database using Apple's CloudKit, so they appear on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. This data lives in your own iCloud account and is governed by Apple's privacy policy; we cannot read it, and we operate no servers of our own. If you are not signed in to iCloud, the app simply keeps these times on the device. Deleting a personal time in the app removes it from iCloud as well.

Children

ZmanimBar is suitable for all ages and collects no personal data from anyone.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
